When attempting to join a local server I get disconnected with a few different errors each time.
This specific server is modded, however the same problem persists in vanilla, so the mods are the issue. I've tried it with and without.
Mainly:
"Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.util.zip.DataFormatException: invalid distance too far back"
"Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.util.zip.DataFormatException: incorrect header check"
This happens when attempting to join from a local PC to my local server. It happens both when trying to join a singleplayer world over LAN, and when joining a local server. I've seen this has been an issue for a while with no resolutions anywhere. People are even still actively talking about this being an issue, so really it needs something to be done about it.
I believe it's an issue with compressing/decompressing packets. Whether it is happening server side, or client side, I would assume the client is the issue.
