I cannot celebrate the first advent with my advent wreath, I can only celebrate the 4th advent

      Today is the first advent but I cannot celebrate the first advent with my advent wreath. I can only celebrate the 4th advent. I am trying to light 1 candle on my advent wreath but it always lights all 4 candles even though today is the first advent and not the 4th advent.
