I was following the attached tutorial that used a boat facing a specific direction, but when I placed the boat and rotated it, the boat reset its rotation back to its starting rotation after dismounting. I then also tested this without the alignment and it seemed to work the same way.

Steps to recreate:
Follow the YouTube tutorial up until the point of rotating the boat.

This bug has been experienced on both 1.19.4 and 1.20.
