I don't know how common or replicable this is, but this happened to me twice already. I was doing a raid in a village, died during the raid and respawned at the trial chamber where I set my spawnpoint. Upon returning to the village the raid bar was gone and there were no villagers or raiders anymore. The items dropped were all still present.
