when giving armor with new tag the armor is not visible

Reproduce:

1. use the command `/give @s minecraft:diamond_leggings[minecraft:equippable=
   {slot:'legs'}

   ]`  this command will give you diamond leggigns

2. put the leggings on
3. open inventory or press F5 to observe yourself

Expected behavior:

leggings are visible on the player

Observed behavior:

leggings are not visible, yet they are still there
