Player
Flying towards a mob using a trident enchanted with Riptide and switching to Spectator mode right before hitting the mob causes the player to spectate the mob instead.
How to reproduce:
- Give yourself a trident enchanted with Riptide.
- Execute the following command:
/weather rain
- While inside a biome where it can rain, summon any mob.
- Move around 15 blocks away from the mob (to give yourself time to switch game modes before hitting it).
- Make sure you are in a game mode other than Spectator.
- Look towards the mob.
- Throw the trident towards the mob and very quickly press F3+N to switch to Spectator mode.
→
You are now spectating the mob.
Expected result:
A player in Spectator mode flying towards a mob using a trident with Riptide would just fly through the mob and nothing special would happen.
Observed result:
A player in Spectator mode flying towards a mob using a trident with Riptide starts spectating the mob as soon as they reach it.
