How to reproduce:

Go to an end gateway in the End

Throw a projectile or drop an item in the End gateway 

Either throw an ender pearl into the end gateway or step into it and step back out very quickly to avoid being teleported when the cooldown ends.

Observed result: You received the remote gateway advancement despite not being teleported

Expected result: You should not receive the Remote Gateway advancement
