Everytime i start my minecraft i hit play and then it goes straight back to the launcher

      i wanted to play miencraft and i was expecting it to start.
      but when i clicked play it crashed straight back to the launcher

      1.i started my launcher
      2. i pressed play
      3.it started up then closed back to the launcher
