      [Feature request /Idea]
      Option to regenerate chunks when up/downgrading to a different minecraft version

      The advantage of having such an option would be that exploring won't generate a lot of terrain that never will receive new features. and so also reduces the range you need to walk after an upgrade to explore new things (not for all terrain features probably but it should be possible for some)

      Possible settings:

      regenerateChunks=true|false
      regenerateChunksException=loaded|visited|changed|edited

      loaded
      -> excluded: every chunk that was loaded
      -> included: every chunk that was pre-generated and never loaded
      visited
      -> excluded: every chunk where at least one player did stand on
      visited
      -> excluded: every chunk where at least one player did stand on
      changed
      -> excluded: directly or indirectly changed chunks
      edited:
      ->excluded directly changed by players

      p.s. are ideas like this welcome (and is this the place to write about them? )
