While outside my house fighting a mob of baddies (2 zombies, 1 spider, 1 skeleton archer if that's important) a witch appeared and seemed to be lining up an attack when the game froze. My computer and internet connection both still worked fine, and when I looked into it java had encountered an error which had caused the crash.

I reloaded the game and was greeted by the death screen and the option to respawn. I promptly tried to get my stuff back, but as soon as the witch moved into position to attack me again, the same thing happened.

Both times followed the same pattern, as soon as I had the witch in my sights [and I was in hers presumably] the game froze still as a screenshot.

I also waited, not pressing any keys, the second time to see if the game would pick up again, but it didn't.
