After Minecraft version 1.7 Minecraft forces my computer to use my onboard graphics card instead of my nicer and more powerful agp one. Before 1.7 I could get around 30fps at max settings. After 1.7 I get about 1fps at the title screen. After a lot of snooping and investigating I found that minecraft was using the onboard graphics card and despite what I have tried I cannot get it to run on the nvidia one.
I have made 100% sure that I have gotten the latest drivers available for my card on both linux and windows but still no luck. One of the reasons I believe this is a bug is that 1.6 and below still work great at around 30-50fps.
After a lengthy google search I found that I am not the only one experiencing this problem and even that many are blaming this on lack of ram and other factors even though some people who are having these problems have more than adequate ram, gpu, and cpu specs. But the one thing I found with almost all of these cases was that they had a really bad on-board gpu.
Please give this bug the attention it needs!
