I loaded up the new snapshot onto a new world and I instantly look down and all my textures glitch out. I am using the default resource pack as well.

Here's a gif I made to show what happens: http://www.gfycat.com/HealthyImpoliteImperialeagle

This has been reported at the Soartex Fanver Forum as initial thought of being a Resource Pack issue. Here are the screenshots provided by the user http://imgur.com/a/vhF4n

Would it be possible for one the game devs to take a look at this issue? Unless they already know about this? Here is screenshot taken from the current snapshot: http://i.imgur.com/lFYgJyA.png

Just thought I should test this on the new snapshot 14w30b and this bug is still in the game :/

I can confirm still affecting me, under same conditions, and the new VBO doesn't affect it.

Yes, just tested and its this bug/issue is still occurring. The same method of turning Mipmapping off fixes the issue, so its still something wrong with the Mipmapping or something breaking that code/section.

The bug in MC-61091 i don't think is related - this is textures not showing, and instead blocks just show white or tint colour, flashing, i'm not getting invisible/missing blocks/chunks.

Disabling Advanced OpenGL (wasn't an option, so through options.txt) didn't change the behaviour.

Turning mipmapping off stops the flashing. With mipmapping on, using resource pack "vivid_torrential_changes" (by insomniac_lemon) it pretty much always starts flashing. Using default pack it seems to sometimes do it sometimes not. Using a pack that only adds 2 textures seems to do it a bit more.

No issue with mipmapping in previous versions - only a problem in 14w28a and 14w28b

Could be yeah but its not the same flickering/glitch as the one I am experiencing. I am only getting this issues glitch issue.

This must have to do with something changed regarding mipmapping, If I turn that off completely the textures are fine and there is no "flash glitching" as shown in the gif in the description above. This bug has only started happening for me since the 14w28a/b snapshot. So maybe we wait till the next one is released to see if the bug is still there?
