HP Intel Windows 1.8 bug. Minecraft wont let me get onto any servers

      Hi Mojang,
      I am very frustrated because MC is not working all of a sudden. I am very upset because I absolutely love Minecraft and I want to be able to play it.

      So, I logged in and the update notes tab was completely white. I get on to Minecraft (finally, after it was loading for like 5 minutes), and I tried to log into a server. It said "Authentication is under maintainence". I tried to shut down, reinstall Minecraft, and try again and I did this process 6 times. I couldn't get onto any server!

      My system is a HP Intel, Windows 8.1 and my java version is the latest version.
      Hope you can fix this!
