While leading two cows through the nether, one simply disappeared, lead and all. I was walking backwards and watching it when it happened. This has happened several times since then with cows, rabbits, and cats. It's possible that one mob pushes the other into the wall? But there are no injury noises or drops left behind. Other players on the server have also had this issue.
