My development console says there is an unrecognized windoes socket error.
What I expected to happen was...:

Once I start Minecraft the launcher is only available to play in offline mode. When attempting to play in offline mode, my game immediately crashed. The development console said that there was an unrecognized windows socket error. I have already uninstalled then re-installed both Minecraft and my Java programs and still no luck. Your help would be appreciated as I have not been able to play Minecraft for quite some time. Thank you.
