When initially hitting or activating a Noteblock, the note particle will sometimes render in the incorrect place for a couple frames before jumping to where it's suppose to be. The particle always seems to appear about 2 blocks North of the Noteblock instead of 1 block up.

It doesn't happen extremely often, only when the server side (even Single Player servers) slows down a bit I believe.

To reproduce, generate a bunch of server lag (i.e. rapid firing Command Blocks, something that doesn't lag the client itself), and hit/tune a noteblock. You should see the particle North of the block for a frame or two.

Can't reproduce in 15w47c, even when I'm far off the center of the world (MC-88330).

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w45a or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Yes, sorry. My client runs at 100+ fps, but in the background of the world I found this on was a bunch of fill clocks and testfor's, so I assume it did lag the server a bit. When I disabled all the clocks, the bug never happened in 100 clicks, but with it going at least one out of every 10 clicks bugs out, and I'm sure it'd be worse with even more clocks running.

Edit: I changed the description to reflect this.

Was unable to see this happening in 1.8.1-pre1 when lagging the server and client via rapidly-summoning groups of zombies.

So is it only when the server is lagging but the client is running at full speed?
