i was playing a single player world and attack a zombie pigmen to get some cheap gold but after i killed all the ones in the area more spawned and were still angry with me and eventually killed me. and every time I go back to the nether their just sitting there waiting to spawn kill me.
so later i moved my nether portal fairly far away but nope same results.
