Minecraft Launcher 1.5.4 Not working

      I was gonna play some Minecraft but when I opened up Minecraft it made a Window called "Minecraft Launcher" and in it it said "Downloading native launcher" and then for a half a second it it closed. Nothing else happened. Please help.
