    • Before 1.8, BLOCK/ITEM:DATA easily used for many features/purposes

After 1.8, most BLOCK/ITEM:DATA with illegal data is restricted and becomes black/purple and remove existing specific block/item in world.

UPDATED : Also happened on items too

Before 1.8, this BLOCK:DATA was cool that I can easily make new/modified block/item out of it. It was really easy that it just take at least 1 simple mod for this, MCPatcher or Optifine. Server plugin is to give the new/modified block/item some purpose like the example below.

      Example :
      1. Destroying on DANDELION:1 will explode using certain plugin
      2. LONG_GRASS:3/4/5/# for new grass/bush(/tree?) for pot
      3. Decoy ore which drop absolutely nothing (DIAMOND_ORE:1 with modified drop)
      4. SMOOTH_BRICK:4 is a mossy cracked stone brick texture.

After 1.8, this stuff gone down hill and I can no longer make new/modified block/item out of it, only black/purple block/item and illegal data and removed the block/item if exist in world. It also sacrificed a lot of feature from my own server.

I really needed this thing back on the game, no restriction or limitation, it would be the modless and most server-sided only feature I will ever dream to make one. I would appreciate if you made meta data able to use over 15+ and customizable texture inside the Resource Pack by default like this :-

      id : 1
      data : 7
      texture : basalt.png

      id : 265
      data : 1
      texture : refinediron.png
