I have a vision disability that makes it difficult to properly gauge depth and perspective. I will often find myself unable to place blocks, open chests, attack enemies, etc, only to realize after several seconds that I'm too far away. Most modern games address this issue by having the crosshair offer some combination of size, shape, color, or animation changes to indicate when the object being pointed at can be interacted with. Minecraft currently does not adhere to this convention and it makes the game unnecessarily difficult to play for people like me. (Note: I am aware that there is a thin black outline for placing and mining blocks, but it's hard for me to see, there appears to be no way to adjust it, and it doesn't address the issue of interaction with chests or enemies).
