This is one of the bugs I caught and a user made is "resolved" by saying that I was not on 1.8.3, but I was on 1.8.2. I now have a 1.8.3 version. I have attached a manual debug crash when the mouse came visible. This annoys me in-game and I have to go to a GUI to get it to become invisible.
