1.7 Minecraft crashes when I join a server or singleplayer world

      I couldnt pick 1.7 as version because 1.8 was the only avaible..but this is my problem i would be happy if you help me

      always when I try to join a server or play on a singleplayer world on 1.7 my minecraft crashes. I can play on the 1.8 without problems and I have windows 8 and norton as antivirus(dont know if it matters) thanks for help in advance
