      If you have a cape on, when holding a stained glass (any color), if you open your inventory or press f5 two times and you "overlap" the glass with a visible part of your cape, the glass will not render correctly (it will not render the part which is over the cape).
      This doesn't happen with stained glass panes.
      In addition, this worked properly in 1.7(.10)

          And isn't that a bug too?
          It's just that the glass doesn't render through the cape, I don't think it's a feature about "shining", or at least it looks like a bug (nothing intentioned).
          In addition, this "feature" doesn't exist on glass panes and it didn't exist in 1.7(.10) (see screenshots).

          Not a bug.
          It's simply the inner surface of the cape shining through the glass block.
