When defeating the first Ender Dragon spawned in the End, the portal back to the Overworld opens up and the credit sequence rolls. When spawning another Ender Dragon, the portal back to the Overworld (not the bedrock structure itself, just the actual portal) disappears, and only reappears after the respawned Ender Dragon is defeated.
