My operating system is Windows 7 (64-bit). My java is (not completely) up to date but enough to run the game nicely. I am currently have jre7.

While running the minecraft_server.jar in the snapshot 13w05b, I got an error of a bunch of random jibberish about the class files. I ran a clean slate of files except for the jar and it still errors. There's something wrong with the snapshot server.jar that needs to be fixed!
