I can't growing 2×2 spruce trees (Mega spruce) by bone meal in Ice plains biome ( there are 5x5 clean/air blocks ) with bone meal in survival and creative mode on multiplayer server with 16w03a (1.9). I used old world from old versions and just playing in new generated chunks with ice plains and natural structure "igloo".
