I am un aware of this being a feature so yeah,
What I expected to happen was...
When you throw a potion the timeframe of the particle effects disappear after 2 - 3 seconds

What actually happened was...
When I throw any potion more than 2:00 the effects stay for a very long time... It creates a lot of particles and they stay for around 10 - 16 seconds

Steps to Reproduce
1. Open creative inventory
2. Click the potions slot
3. Click on any potion that is 2 - 5M length
4. Close inventory
5. Splash potion
