They said that chunk loading was suppose to be WAY quicker in 1.9, but I have so far experienced the opposite! On realms anyways. When I log on it takes 1-2 minutes before I can actually start playing, 1.8 was not that way at all! Also when I die in another dimension, expl. the Nether, It takes the same amount of time to respawn into the overworld. Also chunk loading in general is very clunky and sloppy in general.
