I have a clocked dispenser throwing eggs against a wall. Some of the spawned chicks are dying soon after spawning. Close examination of a screen recording shows that this does not appear to be caused by the chicks being hit by eggs. They appear to be spawned in a "hit" condition - they are showing the red flash of being hit. Only a small percentage of chicks are dying.
