When you load any version of minecraft earlier than 1.14, it tries to load then shows black and immediately crashes. i have found that a certain function in minecraft is no longer supported by newer versions of the lwjgl. somehow the launcher doesn't allow backward compatibility, or doesn't download and install the correct lwjgl. it is frustrating because i wanted to join a third party server that only supported a certain version of minecraft (1.12.1), therefore causing me to give up on trying to make minecraft work on that version. i NEED you to help fix this because i have other friends who i want to play with on the same server, and i want to play with other people who are stuck on older versions.
