When I open the launcher, it says Updating Minecraft Launcher, but after a bit of the bar loads, it says unable to update the Minecraft native launcher. I have tried reinstalling Minecraft, but some running application has access to my .minecraft folder even after they are all closed. The same thing happens when I download the installer and try to reinstall the game there. I have never had trouble installing updates to the launcher before.
