Launcher cripples wifi speed & ping (so does java installation)

      Java 1.8.0_341, but I didn't think that Minecraft used the system Java.

      My laptop is running Windows 11. When I connect to the MCL, my wifi speed has a long ping, 5% up and 2% down versus normal. The same goes for running a java installation. Quitting the launcher only does not solve it. If I disconnect from the launcher and from the java installation, then my internet speeds return to normal.

      Turning off Windows Defender Firewall did not help.
