Over the past several months I have experienced a strange issue of randomly not being able to open the launcher after my computer has been on over anything but short periods of time. This has affected several versions of the launcher including versions current to today and prior for approximately 8-12 months. I usually open minecraft by clicking on a shortcut in my taskbar. When launch fails, I will only see a textless grey window open on top left portion of screen for about 1 second then close. Repeated attempts also fail. Approximately 3/4 of the time I have been able to fix this by resetting my computer and immediately opening the launcher after windows 10 boots and I have logged in. When successful, the launcher then always requires me to re-login thru my microsoft account. Lately this "trick" has not worked. I have tried logging out and back into my microsoft gaming account when issue is noticed without resetting my pc and it does not help. I have the current Windows 10 with automatic updates, Java, and Nvidia RTX-2070 updates installed.
