Whenever I try to play in alpha, the game crashes. I don't know why. Please fix this so I can play alpha!

What I expected to happen was that it would allow me to play on alpha Minecraft.
I went to Edit Profile, clicked on Use Version, and tried to click on old_alpha
      a1.0.4.

What actually happened was that the game crashed instead.
After it quit "unexpectedly", it said that the game crashed of an unexpected error, or so called Bus Error (0xa) at pc=00000000.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Open up the Minecraft Launcher.
      2. Click on Edit Profile on the bottom left corner
      3. Click on Allow use of old "Alpha" Minecraft versions (From 2010).
      4. Click on Use Versions, and click on anything below 1.6.2.
      5. Click on Save Profile.
      6. Click on Play
      7. The game will crash unexpectedly (Bus Error (0xa) at pc=00000000).
