cant load into any servers

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought I could actually play the game but you guys just had to install the new launcher automatically

What actually happened was...:
before the launcher update: could actually play the game, after update: cant join any servers I either get stuck on "Loading Terrain" or get in and then freeze and minecraft doesent respond

Steps to Reproduce:
1. No steps because you guys did it for me by automatically downloading launcher
