I tried the new Launcher today (which, I think by the way, was completly unnecessary to develop, but ok, lets go on). I klicked the "Play Minecraft/Download here 1.8" button, to run the game. It downloads 1mb and thats it. Then everything crashs and the Launcher closes itself. I already repaired Minecraft and installed it again. Nothing changes. Please fix this. And I don't want to play the newest version, I want to play the old versions. Thanks for reading (and hopefully fixing)
