When attacking a mob , tamed wolves will only give one or two hits to the mob before losing interest. This always happens, no matter the mob. Also, dogs will continue to attack players in multiplayer after they die and then respawn. I'm sorry if this is a duplicate, but I didnt see one when I searched.
