When you go into a world sometimes even a new one it gets stuck on the generating world screen then after about 3-5 minutes it starts the game but I've also realised that the world is still actually going on but you cant move or tell what's happening for example villagers still do their jobs
If you are trying to recreate the bug then I suggest go onto a fairy big world and invite someone to join you as well
