About a month ago, we were still able to sign into Minecraft for iOS on a tablet at 9.3.5 iOS for multiplayer games with another player that had the same Minecraft version (1.16.50) on a different iPad that was on 12.4.9 iOS. While the 12.4.9 iOS tablet remained able to continue playing multiplayer games, this device (which is quite old and will not update past 9.3.5 iOS) keeps getting stuck at the signing in screen (IMG_0035.PNG).

I tried troubleshooting by using the Xbox app that was compatible with 9.3.5 iPad iOS to see if I could launch Minecraft from the app. However, the Minecraft version was not listed. So I exited out of the Xbox app, signed into the Xbox app again and then launched Minecraft app to see if the Microsoft account sign-in would work. It did not. It still got stuck on this screen (IMG_0035.PNG).

When I pressed the Cancel button on IMG_0035.PNG, it would return a Failed to login window (IMG_0036.PNG). Then when I quit out of the Minecraft app to restart it, when I click the Sign in button, it would get me to the landing page to sign in via Xbox live (IMG_0037.PNG). Only, this time, instead of opening the Microsoft account login sequence for email, password and verification code, the followup screen would jump directly to the static forever rendering loop window of "Signing in with your Microsoft Account..." with the option to cancel (IMG_0035.PNG).

I've deleted the Minecraft app multiple times to try to have my WiFi on, my bluetooth on, screen time restrictions off, etc., to see if it's some sort of system settings that disrupt the sign-in process. To no avail. Same results.

I'd like this bug to be fixed so that my kids can play in each other's worlds using the same Minecraft edition for iOS. Please fix this issue. Another complication is that just yesterday the 12.4.9 iOS updated to 1.16.200 and it looks like even if the 1.16.50 can sign in via Microsoft account, these two Minecraft versions won't be able to play in each other's worlds anymore.
