Minecraft worlds stuck on "generating world" screen

      Minecraft has been having issues lately. I can load up the main screen just fine but whenever I try to enter a single-player world, the loading bar will fill up. Normally, a few seconds later, I would be able to enter the world, but after updating to 1.16.200, the loading bar will just disappear and the screen will be stuck on a message that says "Generating world." This is affecting all of my worlds and it is getting annoying since Minecraft is no longer usable.
