In beta MC. I put a stack of oak logs in an empty chest for a future build. Came back after some build planning and the stack of logs was gone. Happened with sticks, oak logs, and oak stairs. Seems to only effect oak things. It was a double chest. I did try and log back in and out, but unsuccessful with trying to recover the lost items. I don't know if this can be recreated or not.
