This Problem I need addressed ASAP isn't at all new. It has been occurring well before the latest patch, & I is a bug that has needed priority. I find the Minecraft Marketplace, is a place Switch owners need to not be idle in.
They should search their mobile phones for new content in the marketplace, because if they linger, even for 2 minutes, the game will most likely go to what looks to be a loading screen and stay there indefinitely.
The game won't be responsive again until; you press the home button; attempt to exit the game via the consoles home window; & wait for the their console to tell them, "The software was closed because an error. "
Also there are times on the character creation when it won't allow you to go back via button press, & worst the touch screen won't allow you to press the back arrow at the top when it happens.
I've seen these behaviors, not sometimes, but every time I go to the Marketplace. Fix It, please.

None of these problems exist on my android phone; only my Nintendo Switch.
