After playing I can discover that I have stacks of 3, 15, and 37 <any item> in my inventory. Why doesn't inventory automatically stack itself so I don't have wasted space? Given that stacks are an abstraction anyway, not sure what value the lack of decent automated inventory management provides minecrafters.
