Creepers not blowing up the terrain

      I play on an Xbox series X.

      A creeper snuck up on me and blew up right by my chests and bed but it did not kill me with minimal armor and it did not break my bed or chests and it did not leave a creeper crater. I tested it with a couple of creepers and no crater.
