In a LAN server (as player), whenever I use the use item/place block key (Right click by default on PC), the block I am targeting instantly changes to another model with another texture. Many of them are purple and/or seem to be development or testing textures.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Join a LAN server as player (not host)
      2. Press the use item/place block key while targeting any block

      Observed Results:

The block changes into another model with another texture. The host player does not see this effect. When attempting to place a block, the block in hand does not place, and the block in world is subject to the bug effect.

      • Disconnecting and re-joining the server makes the blocks return to their default state, but the issue is still present and continuous.

      Expected Results:

      The block targeted should

      a) do nothing if the player's hand is empty

      b) have a block placed on it if the player is holding a placable block, or

      c) activate the block targeted if it is an activatable block, e.g. a door or chest.

      Notes

      • Bug was not present before latest Beta update.
      • Bug happens to player who was originally hosting if we trade places (i.e. I host and they join my game.)
      • Both creative and survival mode have this bug
      • Each block's "alternate" is consistent to that block, but seemingly random.
      • Fences turn into tilled soil, which then allows the player experiencing the bug to jump over the fence (the host sees this as me just clipping through the fence).
      • If the block activated is a door, it changes into a floating button but does not open (player experiencing the bug cannot go through the seemingly empty doorway).
