I was exploring deep underground and found some weird bedrock pillar formations that were smaller than one chunk.  Since my understanding of previously generated chunks was that the whole thing would be bedrock before y0, it seems like this might be a bug.  there's a mix of strips of stone between the bedrock or open spaces.
