I was joining my friend's survival world (that I had never played in before) when upon joining his world, I was spawned at the build limit (Y 256) instead of the ground level.

Player spawns at the ground level of the world
Actual Outcome
Player spawns at the build limit (Y 256)

This bug seems hard to reproduce. The video clearly shows it.
