This bug has been happening to me ever since I first started playing Minecraft, which was I belive in 1.12. Here is my recent experience with this bug. I made a new World and while I was look for a cave to mine in, I stopped using my controller, but I was still moving, I wasn't even using the controller. I fell in a hole I would definitely die in, and I had raw iron I didn't want to lose. I was lucky to land in water before hitting the ground. I swam up the water fall that was putting the water there, and there was no way for me to escape without using a block, which I DIDN'T want to do. This bug has been happening to me and my dad for years, and I got Minecraft on my 8th or 9th birthday, and it's still not fixed. Judging by my current age, this bug has been around for about 4 years. Please fix it, it is so aggravating and I almost lost my items for it.
