My Samsung device is able to hold 60fps most of the time if I'm standing still and just looking around but as soon as I start moving and loading chunks around me I notice the framerate drop down in lag spikes going as low as 30fps or 20fps.
From running Perf Z (performance usage viewer) I can see that CPU stays at about 20% when standing still while GPU can be between 65% and 95% but when the game is loading chunks the CPU usage jumps up to double or triple than standing still which causes the phone to throttle GPU making it go all the way down to near 40% and giving those lag spikes.
If you load into an old world where you cannot generate any new terrain after loading in then there is no lag spike when moving around and it keeps a consistent 60fps.
My terrain generation speed is pretty fast as is and I'd prefer if it'd be sacrificed for the sake of keeping GPU priority
