RED ALERT! Do not load your trading halls, villager breeders, or iron farms! THEY WILL CATASTROPHICALLY BREAK!
Attached below are screenshots of the hybrid farm I built and the villager bugs.
Instead of villagers not linking to workstations or beds, they link to multiple workstations. There are no miscellaneous workstations within 4 thousand blocks of the farm.
This is what happens:
Villager #1 is locked into their profession and linked to a lectern. There are other villagers that are not locked into a profession, but each has their own composter. There is the same number of workstations as there are villagers.
Initially, all villagers will link to the appropriate workstations. Villager #1 can work and will refresh trades. Then the nightmare starts. One or more farmer villagers will steal the lectern from villager #1. They change to the librarian villager texture and have the appropriate trades. Villager #1 can no longer refresh its trades. As indicated by the green particles, villager #1 is not linked to the workstation. There may be one or more rouge villagers connected to the same workstation, on top of villager #1. That's right, villagers are literally stealing each other's professions, workstations, oh and did I mention...
Beds. This is the lethal threat to stacked iron farms. This completely scrambled the 4 independent villages in SilentWisperer's quad iron farm. The 4 villages combined into one, destroying the farm and its rates. The only fix to this is to entirely separate the villagers from the farm and then redo the village stacking from the beginning. The problem with this is that until Mojang fixes the bug, you can't use iron farms. The 4 villages will simply combine once again. In addition to the workstation issues, the farm won't produce any iron!
My Survival Experience:
I've spent hours building SilentWisperer's advanced guardian farm, and his quad iron farm. I connected the item transportation for both farms into one bubble collum through the middle of the iron farm. I'll add screenshots below, I really like it. The bad news is that because of the trident despawning bug, and new 1.17.40 villager issues, and XP flowing water bug, the farm is entirely dead. It produces zero items per hour and no XP. I estimate I spend about 10 hours building this colossal hybrid farm in vanilla survival, now I can't use it until Mojang fixes the multiple bugs that killed this farm.
